Title - ‘As The Camera Pans’, Page 1 of 8, 2020
Brief Description - A digital collaboration brings together artists Arshi Irshad Ahmadzai, Sanket Jadia, Manjot Kaur, Salik Ansari, and Tonoy Sharma, on the invitation of Amshu Chukki, in partnership with Avid Learning, to forge an experimental screenplay that challenges conventional narrative boundaries. The work assembles a mosaic of disparate fragments—ranging from archival imagery of the demolished Babri Masjid, a voyeuristic view from a Kabul balcony, digitally rendered environments, and the intimate mise en scène of an artist’s friend’s studio, to raw camera log data, meticulous garden measurements, and reflective lockdown diary entries.
In this re-envisioned narrative, diverse landscapes—both real and imagined—interweave through layers of recollection and speculative retelling. Each contribution serves as a discrete vignette, yet together they evoke a fluid, poetic terrain where memory, perception, and desire coalesce. Emerging from the isolation of 2020, the screenplay unfolds as a dynamic exploration of spatial and temporal dimensions—a living document that captures the ephemeral quality of experience and possibilities of collaboration .
